What is a good, free verilog compiler. I just want to be able to compile my files and run some test modules. 11/12/2007 8:58:07 PM |

If you're a student you can do this remotely. 11/12/2007 10:51:54 PM |

VCL/Putty always run too slowly when I need to have a window open, like gedit or nedit. 11/12/2007 10:57:46 PM |

Or you can mount your filespace as an FTP drive, and use a local text editor, and just use the remote terminal to compile. 11/12/2007 11:30:52 PM |

^^I'm sure it is
^Can you mount it in that way now that they removed support for unsecure FTP?

wolfcall?! mannnn, good luck on that one. you better pray to god your OS still works properly after that one. and if you ever want to get rid of it, you're screwed. it's nearly impossible to remove.
you're better off with something like WebDrive. ncsu students get a free license for it, i forgot how to get to it though 11/13/2007 3:15:23 AM |

You should learn vi or xemacs if nedit is too sluggish. 11/13/2007 7:58:33 AM |

I know right. The guys I work with all use VI and it seems to be by far faster *once* you know how to use it. I haven't ever taken the time to learn and subsequently the only thing it is good for me is hosing terminals quickly. 11/13/2007 10:22:11 AM |
