anyone heard of this? I've been told it can run basic applications and office and such, great internet connectivity and all this in a very small package...not to mention this package costs <$400...thoughts? 11/19/2007 12:02:48 PM |

I admit I had to look it up... but honestly from the few reviews I've read it looks like it'd be great for specific applications. Obviously not a great desktop replacement or anything like that but for the price it could be well worth it to the right person/ppl 11/19/2007 12:08:44 PM |

...it's basic purpose would be supplemental, not looking for a desktop/laptop replacement... 11/19/2007 12:12:23 PM |

What are you really wanting to do with it in particular?? It'd be pretty cool for a computer illiterate person since it looks like there isn't much they could mess up 11/19/2007 12:15:49 PM |

I was actually looking at these... pretty cool.
Someone managed to get OS X Leopard running on it, though it ran like shit. They recommended using Tiger.
Pretty nifty! 11/19/2007 12:21:30 PM |

I've been watching them for months, and I'm definitely going to get one as a supplemental system. I am also, however, waiting until next year, when they release a model with upgradeable memory. The model currently available in the US does not, but reportedly the ones that do will be available here by April. 11/19/2007 5:38:24 PM |

yeah trying to get the manager at the bookstore to order a couple. they'd be around 400 even if we could get them in.
Also, at 399 our distributor indicates they come with a 3 year warranty.
