I have an old infinity 12" sub thats 450 watts but i'm pretty sure the speaker can't handle it and on some big scenes it seems to... well i guess bottom or top out. My question is... if i were to swap in say a JL w6 12 or something... do you think it would go any deeper and or not bottom out?

need a bigger sub if you want it to go deeper into the low frequencies.

uhh.... jl's subs go down to 18 hz ... a 12 is plenty large i'm just wondering if this pos has a built in crossover so it won't break itself trying to go there and its actually the right volume for a ported enclosure for a 12w6 too.
