is the general consensus that we're all pretty ok with their flat panel LCD monitors? 11/30/2007 11:30:48 AM |

i have one. it goes completely blue randomly, sometimes tan, (once a week?)
to fix it I perform a windows standby and start it up again and it works fine. 15 second annoying delay, but other than that it's ok 11/30/2007 11:32:58 AM |

fyi that happens on occasion to me on my samsung 32" LCD tv and it's always because the cable came loose and it was only transmitting a couple colors instead of the full spectrum...11/30/2007 11:39:08 AM |

well crap. i've checked the looseness of the cables and that doesn't seem to be the problem. i hope i can find out why. 11/30/2007 11:42:57 AM |

well, does it turn solid blue/tan? or just a shade of blue/tan?
if its solid, my solution doesnt apply
but if its just giving shades, then its likely something bad between the connections/pins on the cable. 11/30/2007 11:46:38 AM |

I have the 19" model (AL1917W) since spring and I've had absolutely no problems with it. Color's decent, brightness is good, response time is good - only problem is light bleeding around the edges, especially for blacks.
Again though, I doubt your mom is going to care too much about this. 11/30/2007 11:48:48 AM |

The 15.4" that came on my Acer laptop has never had issues. This Acer laptop is a tie (with my iMac) for the best computer I've ever had. Never had an issue. Rock solid construction. 12/1/2007 12:40:19 AM |

You really think the Samsung picture is going to be that much better when they are both the same TN panels? 12/1/2007 1:16:37 PM |
