I have an unfurnished room with private bath in a 2 BR 2.5 bath townhouse on Lake Johnson. Available for second semester through most of the summer, short term and month-to-month leases available. Rent $330/mo. plus half utilities, which would be about $80-100/mo. including the cable. Wireless/cable, washer/dryer, parking spot, furnished kitchen and living areas. 3 miles from NCSU. I am a female grad student and would prefer the same or similar. PM me for more info.

Add:
Could provide twin bed / mattress if renter wanted that to be negotiated. Could also do a fixed rental price if desired.
This is a generally quite area, and is a mixture of homeowners and renters, a few students but mostly non-students. The house is a 60 sec. walk from the Lake Johnson path.

More adds:
No pets, and only outside smoking thought I prefer nonsmokers. I've had two responses from males but I'm going to try to stick with females, just a comfort thing.
If it appears that I'm picky... it's because I own the house, and want to make sure it's in the best condition possible at the end of next summer when I graduate and want to sell.
My old roommate moved out because she graduated and got married.
No credit history needed, though I will ask for a housing reference.
