Is this the end of the 8800 Ultra?
Consider this the G92 is the only GPU from NVIDIA rated excellent in HD Playback with their 2nd Generation Purevideo HD, the 8800 Ultra and GTX are only rated as great. Also there are people on my computer forums running these G92 cores at 920mhz on volt mods! Think about the 1GB 8800GTS (when it is released soon) running at 900/2000 vs an 8800 Ultra.

Quote : | "The GeForce 8800 GTX and Ultra are still faster overall when you really crank up the AA and screen resolution, but for the majority of gamers playing at 1600x1200 or 1920x1200 with a little AA, the GeForce 8800 GT and 8800 GTS 512MB are quite capable. When you factor in overclocking, the 8800 GTS 512MB card is even more tempting. But thanks to its confusing naming, the GeForce 8800 GTS 512MB may have a tough time capturing mindshare in comparison to other cards like the 8800 GT and GTX. Only time will tell on that one though... " |

He only posted the benches that make the GTS look better. Overall it still lags behind the ultras and GTXs.12/11/2007 5:26:53 PM |

What is with the clock discrepancies between firingsquad and anand? Seems like Anand is listing ddr'd rate, not the actual clock. 12/11/2007 6:32:43 PM |
