i remember seeing someone post that they repaired power plugs on laptops for a flat fee, but i can't remember who? mine has stopped charging the battery, and requires constant fiddling with the plug to run on ac power. halp!

or, i will sell this pos for $200 and just buy a new one. it's a dell inspiron b130 that's been upgraded to 1gb of memory. 1.6 (i think) celeron, 40gb hd, wireless, cd burner/dvd player. about 1.5-2 years old. works great except for the power issue. battery holds a charge for about 30-60 minutes depending on what you're doing and screen brightness.

Yep, I do it for a $50 flat fee on most laptops. Certain machines like iBooks or ultra-portables I charge a bit more due to the extra labor involved. Usually its a 24 hour turnaround time.

in addition to the power issue, can you repair speaker outs on laptops. My shitty Dell broke the little ring around the headphone out and now i have no sound

baonest: Yep, most are on Dells. I don't think its that they break more often, just that they're the most common thing people have.
