I'm looking to send my dad to play 18 holes...he's probably been everywhere, but i don't want to tip him off about the gift by asking (it would be way too suspect for me to say anything about golf, lol)
SO, whats the *best* golf course in the raleigh/cary area?? 12/12/2007 11:24:01 AM |

If you really want to do something nice get him a tee time at pinehurst #2. He will enjoy that. 12/14/2007 8:58:48 AM |

I've got a new pro course about 2 hours from me, and a great course (so I hear) 20 minutes from me...however, I'm 3.5 hours from my dad...which is why I was looking into something in the Raleigh area (otherwise, Pinehurst would have been one of the options). He's a very busy guy and I wanted to make it as reasonable for him as possible, while also providing him the opportunity to play a challenging/fun course. He's pretty darn good, though he won't admit it, lol. 12/14/2007 9:35:21 AM |

ok well not "pro" per say...it was designed by a retired pro golfer, or something like that. I don't play golf. I'm just going off of the comments made by the golfing fanatics that I work with, lol. 12/15/2007 7:32:32 AM |

I live off the 9th in Eagle Ridge. It's a nice semi-private course.

For the same amount of money you could probably get him 10 tee times at various Raleigh courses.12/16/2007 10:17:11 AM |
