and your candidate of choice were on the ballot, who would you vote for?
I'd vote for Obama.
And don't argue or discuss, just say
"I'd vote for _______________"
It would be great if everyone followed the rules and kept this civil. Just reply with that one sentence please.

Ron Paul
(he's making so much money, he seriously might win as a third party (L?) candidate )
Quote : | "I like obama the best out of the dems, but all of them supporting socialized medicine keeps me from thinking about voting for any dem." |
that's exactly how I feel
why are most democrats trying to do something so incredibly wrong, unconstitutional, and unnecessary?
we really need more fiscally conservative amendments, judges, public school education curriculums, etc.
Quote : | "would you really move out of the country if ______ won? would you really?" |
Quote : | "Can we find a way to hold everyone who makes stupid comments like that to thier word?? i would love for them to move...haha..." |
here's an idea:
we legalize gambling, then have these people bet their house and citizenship on the outcome of an election
then when they lose, they'll move out of the country
Quote : | "d) None of the above." |
this may have been meant as a joke
but that is a very serious vote
however, that "candidate" isn't on most ballots, but should be.......Quote : | "All legitimate consent requires the ability to withhold consent; therefore, the legitimate consent of voters requires they be able to withhold their consent in an election to office." | http://nota.org/12/19/2007 5:10:30 AM |

I really do not think Obama's program is bad. Regardless if you support Universal Health Insurance or not it should be OBVIOUS that the health care industry needs massive fixes.
Obama's plan is essentially create an insurance program for individuals that do not have insurance through work or make too much to qualify for medicaid. The individuals would be able to choose from Private or public insurance. This plan would require Employers who do not provide health insurance through the company to pay into the system.
Honestly I think it is fucking bullshit for money grubbing CEO's to give themselves a $2 million XMAS bonus but not offer their employees a health insurance plan. If company owners were looking after their employees more there would not be this call for Universal Health Care b.c the only people w/o it would be those too lazy to work who should be fed to the dogs anyway.
Quote : | "public school education curriculums" |
WTF is a fiscally conservative school curriculum. the current state of public schools is absolute crap. No Child Left Behind punishes the gifted and good students and further waters down education into teaching to the test. Every person who works in education I have talked to (got several friends teaching, mom's a teacher, cousins a high school guidance counselor) hates the program.

If you think about who will beat Rudy, Clinton has the best shot, Obama will be creamed and Edwards, poor Edwards, is stuck in a rut for 3rd no mater how angry he gets.

^^^^looking at national polls is pretty pointless with the way our primary system is set up. right now clinton, obama and edwards are neck and neck in iowa. and clinton has lost her substantial lead in NH. SC is a dead heat between clinton and obama. if clinton gets third in IA or doesn't win NH, you better believe those national numbers will change in a hurry to reflect that. 1/1/2008 5:05:38 PM |
roddy All American 25834 Posts user info edit post |
I dont think so, how many times has the winner of Iowa ended up with the nomination here recently? Even NH? They are less and less important, Super Tuesday will decide this and Hillary has the advantage no mater what happens in Iowa or NH...they are the first, but they havent picked the winner(at least Iowa hasnt) in awhile. I dont think what Iowa or NH does will affect anything much.
Obama is the Edwards of 2004...
