Professor X never did anything that was all that kewl.

There are other regrets, but that strikes me as one of the biggest wastes of a neat character.

his biggest regret should be not moving his consciousness to a chick with large knockers

He did stop everyone around him at the beginning of X-2 after Iceman and Pyro got into a scuffle with two other guys. That was pretty impressive, like time had stopped. And don't forget, he and Cerebro almost wiped out all mutants on earth, then almost wiped out all humans on earth in the same movie.

I think I remember a rumor that Sawyer from Lost was offered the role, but turned it down because it was too similar a character.

X1 was good. X2 and X3 were busts.

I regret the first director didn't stay on for the rest of the trilogy to finish his vision.

and where the fuck was gambit!?

maybe a Christopher Nolan type will come along in 10 years to resurrect the Xmen film franchise and do it justice like he has done with BB and TDK.

The opening scene in X2 where Nightcrawler infiltrates the White House was amazing. That made the movie for me.

I really detest how Cyclops was such a whiny little bitch in the movies. He showed absolutely no leadership ability whatsoever. Don't get me wrong, I read the comics for years and know that he definitely has some character trait annoyances, but I still always thought he came across as a capable leader. The one in the movies just didn't even resemble Cyclops to me.

X2 was definitely the best, the Nightcrawler scene was great. Too bad he wasn't in the third one. And wtf Gambit would have been the easiest character to do. He throws things that blow up. Not too difficult.

I think the dude who played the Night Fox or whatever in Ocean's 12 (same guy who played the villain in Derailed) would have been an excellent Gambit.

I've heard the name gambit before

but i couldn't tell you his abilities

I thought the only "xmen" were:

Magneto
Cyclops
Wolverine
Storm
Professor X

until the first movie came out.

I regret that Bryan Singer didn't direct the third movie. I can't help but wonder how it'd have been different.

^ Cyclops wouldn't have been killed off, for one. The only reason they did that was because James Marsden went with Bryan Singer to do Superman Returns.

that there wasn't a really good long massive war scene between a lot of mutants with people dieing and all out war.

they had it setup at the end of 3, but it didn't deliver.

rogue pissed me off throughout every movie.

Gambit = awesome character, however Wolverine's character pretty much served his purpose. Having Gambit would have been completely unnecessary.

Beast, awesome character, hell the casting on him was perfect. However, what did he really contribute to X3?

Same thing that happened to Rogue's

about the Amalgam Universe, there were a couple interesting combos, but overall I thought it was stupid.

Iron Man + Green Lantern = Iron Lantern

Ra's Al Ghul + Apocalypse = Ra's A-Pocalypse

Riddler + Kingpin = The Big Question

etc

Cyclops was a whiny bitch with no leadership abilities in the comic books. He made good leadership decisions, but he never could get people to buy into what he was doing because he always came across as a pompous asshole with control issues. I think the movies did a good job of getting that across, even though the movies failed in a lot of other areas.

hell

no

maybe for his attitude and french accent, but Gambit is Cajun and Fox looks nothing like him. I don't know Night Fox's height, but Gambit is pretty tall, 6'4".
