I have to find and set up an autoresponder email service for work. Looking for leads on vendors for this.
We need to:
-Collect info from people (email, phone, and other parameters - ) -Send out emails with attachments at specific dates based on what's been given in the collection phase -Follow-up emails aren't global to the entire list, and need to be filtered on certain criteria. -Prefer something web-based instead of software, but that's not a dealbreaker -Got to have decent phone support -No spam allowed from the service, or email list sold. This is an absolute dealbreaker for us.
None of this is spam marketing so don't go there. Some of you guys know what I do for a living, and I'm just trying to corral some of the email stuff that we have been doing manually with spreadsheets and whatnot. I'm drowning in this mess!
Thanks in advance ya'll. 12/19/2007 2:20:27 PM |

I am not sure if these fit all of your requirements exactly, but two large companies that offer this service are:

Thanks - I'll check them out. I'm really stabbing in the dark with this stuff. It looks like we're going to have to adapt some marketing program to what we want to do. I'm fine with that if it'll do what we want.
Thanks again. 12/19/2007 2:55:09 PM |

man, i'm telling you - it's going to work a whole lot better/will be a whole lot less hassle if you get something custom.
it's much easier to write new software to meet requirements than it is to modify existing software. 12/19/2007 2:57:13 PM |

Depending on the volume of messages you are sending, I think there are clear benefits to using an established service provider to do this instead of trying to write your own custom setup. Mainly, if you are sending a large volume of email, you are going to have problems with it being rejected and marked as spam. The bigger email marketing companies (who don't do spamming) have the expertise required to get a good delivery rate. 12/20/2007 2:14:30 PM |
