is it vista compatable? also how much does a cartridge cost and is that the only thing you ever have to refill? dont laser printers have a "toner" too?

^^Not my printer but I'll answer you:
1)Yes. Vista should already include the drivers for old printers, which this is certainly one of.
2)The seller is using "cartridge" interchangeably with "toner". To be specific, laser printers use toner cartridges, so either term is OK. While not necessarily true for all laser printers, on this particular one, it's the only thing you need to refill.

I like the old HP's, they were built tough back then.
