Did any one take Dr. brown before.. Are his tests hard? Final? He recently change his grading distribution to 40% final grade.. before he said he had quizzes woth 50% and final 25%. but people didn't try on the final and he change it. Also anybody know anything about SIDDARTH. he also a ce 214 teacher. =I know Parwish is the best but he doen't teach this sememster.

i had brown last semester. I would definitely take him over any other professor. I'm guessing that the reason that he changed the final weight was because almost the entire class had A's and B's going into the final and then the final exam average was something like a 71.

Having a test every week was a whole lot better than having 2-3 midterms. It makes it easy to prepare for the test when you only have a section of a chapter to study for, plus most of the problems on the weekly exams are just homework problems with the numbers changed up.

I also never payed attention in class...the notes or "Hitchhikers Guides" that he emails out are written well enough that you can teach it to yourself if you've got any problems.

Do the homeworks the best you can (graded on effort), and spend time doing the EP problem (graded for accuracy) and you will do very well in the class

I am in this class this semester, Brown seems like a good guy he wants everyone to pass but he wants you to work for it.

I took Parish over summer and I hold a little grudge against him because of some grade discrepancies i had with him on his final, but he was an excellent professor. Gave a lot of difficult problems on tests and seemed to always try to trick students rather than testing concepts. A good guy outside of class when looking for help and in class when instructing, but when it came time to debate some sort of grade he was a complete asshole. Statics over summer in 5 weeks sucked ass too.

parrish seems cool, but i never had a class he instructed...

avoid cc tung like the plague if he's still around..
