in the raleigh area? i need to get a couple moles cut off and biopsied, but the last one i had done a few years ago left a huge scar

They are going to leave scars no matter what. I think if it's on your face, they can do something to minimize that, but otherwise, scars are inevitable.

i have two giant scars on my back, about the size of my thumbnail, with a hollow spot under them from a couple moles maybe 3/16" in diameter, that guy didnt know what the hell he was doing

My scars are like that too. I had one done two years ago, and one done last week, by 2 different doctors. The one who did it last week said there will be scars no matter what. It sucks, but I'd rather have the scars than have to worry about skin cancer or something later on down the road.

They go overboard usually to cover their own ass. If you can't be a doctor, be a dermatologist.

Dr. Eric Challgren in Raleigh is an NCSU alum and a great dermatologist. He has a good staff and is very friendly.
