Applebees isn't bad. Some of their offerings are quite tasty.

They just don't have quite the selection some other places have I guess, but that shouldn't matter to people on here since lots of them are college students and eating at Applebee's should be a luxury to them.

And if you disagree with all that still: At least it's not fucking McDonald's.

One of my friends used to work in the kitchen at Applebee's. He said most of the meals come frozen/pre-packaged like most fast food restaurants. The food is prepared in the microwave.

and besides, I used to cook at applebee's and it's like anywhere else - crappy food served heatlamped to death...but no prepackaged microwave shit - i scraped the grill to many times to forget it's existence. they do portion veggies into bags and steam them in the micro, but the veggies are fresh from a local vendor.

Hey man, I'm just going by what he told me. He really hated the job so he might have been stretching the truth a bit, but still. You can get better and fresher food elsewhere for equal or lesser prices. (Baja Burrito anyone?)
