okay... here's the strategy:
we lose the first six or seven states miserably...
we'll do so bad that even Ron Paul looks viable...
then, once everyone has forgotten that I'm even running for president, we'll do a sneak attack and out-flank the whole lot of them...
and coast right on into the White House.
Gee, sir. That's brilliant. Utterly brilliant!

mostly because I think the guy's a war-hawk and I think he would continue the doctrine of preemptive strikes throughout the world at an even greater pace than Bush started.
Plus, by continuing to doggedly pursue his original campaign strategy (playing on the terror and fear of 9/11) for months and months after it was clear that people were not being moved by it, he is showing a clear lack of judgment and inability to read people's feelings. Seriously, what kind of douchebag loses and election and comes back with "Am I worried? I'll tell you when I was worried. On [you fill in the blank]" His whole campaign is based on the presumption that Americans are and should be scared shitless, living in a constant state of fear of death. Being defensive and stalwart is one thing. Being a warmongering FUD-spreader is another, and I don't want that in a president.1/24/2008 4:35:01 PM |

I actually am hoping Rudy can win florida to continue his run. He is also proposing a tax decrease as well. I would like to see Romney and Rudy be the final two and watch some debates between them before I make my pick.

I am voting democrat, although I haven't decided whom I'm going to vote for.
My problem with the republicans is the fact that they spout fiscal conservatism and then they don't come through. I'd be incredibly impressed if any of the republicans actually get into office and do cut spending.
I'd like to think that the Dems are going to cut spending as well, but they're also not talking about tax cuts. 1/24/2008 5:08:09 PM |

You must be a democrat jo.
Rudy's plan: 1.Bring Order To The Border: Congress authorized the construction of 700 miles of border fence in 2006 and then appropriated over $1.1 billion for border security. However, Washington has only built a few dozen miles of fence. Rudy will commit to building the fence – both physical and high-tech – now, while deploying and maintaining 20,000 Border Patrol agents and measuring their progress toward ending illegal immigration
2.Deport All Illegal Aliens Who Commit A Felony
3.Implement BorderStat: use key indicators to identify both effective enforcement strategies that demonstrate tangible results and areas of the border where we are failing so the failures can be immediately corrected
4.Issue A Single, Tamper-Proof Biometric ID Card for all non-citizen workers and students
5.Create A Single National Database Of Foreigners
6.Identify Those Who Have Left The Country With Biometric Check-out System
7.Require All Immigrants to Truly Read, Write & Speak English
McCains Plan? Here is CNN's take: http://youtube.com/watch?v=WCHVXzBo3qg
HAHA, yeah no difference. Oh and Obama supported it.
Ive also said I dont know who I would vote for, but I dont remember Rudy trying to sneak through an amnesty bill a couple months prior. Id like for Rudy to continue with the debates and he needs to win florida for that to happen.1/24/2008 7:23:04 PM |

Nothing is tamper-proof (at least, nothing stays that way long) and biometrics are about the line where I start to get concerned about invasion of privacy issues. And I'm in favor of a national ID card, which many people are already concerned violates those rights.

Patently offensive, frighteningly reminiscient of the worst dictators and murderers in history, and impractical to implement, which is good, given how unspeakably horrible it would be if we could actually do it.

I swear, I just don't understand where this crazy anti-Mexican boner comes from.
The best is when they want to build a fucking fence across the Mexican border--you know, to keep the terrorists out--but inexplicably don't push for a similar fence along the Canadian border.

What do you tell the Mexicans and all other immigrants who are following our rules and waiting their turn to come to the US? What do you say to them while they watch millions of people break our law and sneak in ahead of them...and then nothing is done about it?
Either have an immigration policy and enforce it aggressively, or don't have one at all.
