The last time I went to Wal-Mart was because I got a gift card for Christmas.

All in all, it took me 45 minutes after presenting my item and the gift card before I was successfully rung up. But who expects the staff to know how to ring that sort of thing up three days after Christmas?

I agree with dnl that I've never understood the hate for Wal-Mart...

Target is better, they have higher quality goods with more in stock, but there is nothing inherently bad about Wal-Mart... all of you seeing it filled with rednecks must be living in some kind of backwater shit-hole. Most of the suburban/urban Wal-Marts I've seen were filled with normal, middle-income-looking people. Maybe one or two people who look like they live in either a ghetto or a trailer, but for the most part normal people.

Besides that, why judge a store on the people in it? Decent goods at a low price should not be criticized just because idiots enjoy the goods as well.

I have yet to buy something bad from Wal-Mart that looked like a reliable product (obviously if you buy the cheapest, shittiest brand, it'll be bad, but Wal-Mart also includes stuff from reliable brands that is still well-priced).
