Am I missing any base liquor types or other essentials? Any brand recommendations in the way of scotch or brandy (my own favorite types)?

also ive noticed at company parties and functions in various venues and hospitality suites, that once older drunks get a couple in them, they become very very belligerent about wanting to know where the scotch is

so for all you drinkers, i predict a bar full of scotch by the time you turn 40

and really, you look really bad when youre begging for scotch cause the beer wont work

i mean im all for the individuals right to drink (better not drive) but just a warning

^^ Gin is also a key ingredient a shit-ton of mixed drinks. I mean mixed drinks are one of the points of having a "well stocked" bar... so leaving out gin and whiskey would be silly.

You'll want to stock some light rum (not spiced). Key ingredient in a lot of drinks (mojitos, daqiris, long islands), and dark/spiced rum just doesn't work as well.

Jagermeister, Baronjager (a personal favorite), Cointreau, and peppermint and butterscotch schnapps would be good additions too.

how about some REAL gin?
