Lol. Our welcome to the neighborhood was this crazy liberal lady with a three-legged German Shephard and an overgrown front yard who wanted to get us to sign a petition because her neighbor's junipers weren't tamed. She called it "unsightly."

we used to have a landscaping customer who would get us to trim her bushes about twice a year and she'd always come out and talk shit about her neighbor's yard to me. always complaining about how it detracted from her yard or whatever. she'd try to make me agree with her, saying stuff like "don't you think so? etc, blah blah blah. truth was that her neighbor's yard looked fine, the people just didn't spend thousands every year on bushes, flowers, and shit like she did. i wanted to tell her how fucking stupid she was so bad.

I read a neighborhood association newsletter one time that said we had to maintain a grassy area right next to some woods that was owned/maintained by the city. The primary reason was that it was "a haven for snakes." The bad thing is that they really were serious. It's one thing to say it looks trashy and pitch in to make it nicer, but they seriously acted like this 5" tall grass was a big snake pit.

we had something like this at the first house i lived in.

this Private investigator lived a couple houses down from us, and being a PI he worked odd hours. anyway one time when i was over at his house, he told me about how he came home at 4:30am one day and went and showered as soon as he got home, and as he was walkin into the kitchen to get somethin to eat he saw a silhouette of a guy with a knife inside the house infront of the front door.

my neighbor picked up a knife from the kitchen drawer and tried to chase him but the intruder got picked up by a buddy in a get away car.


crazy shit man, that would freak me out.
