Anyone know where to get a record player? I tried finding a new one at bestbuy/radioshack/circuit city but they are all combined with a cd player/radio/mp3. 2/5/2008 10:34:33 PM |

You can't go wrong with a Technics 1200.

yeah i really want a good record player too... my dad as a phenominal record collection and all of that stuff sounds better than the digitally re-fucked up stuff you get on cds where you can no longer hear fingers moving on guitar strings etc. 2/6/2008 3:39:09 PM |

I think Best Buy may still sell some models. If not, they recently came out with those MP3 transfer players. I'm sure they also work normally. 2/6/2008 3:41:26 PM |

i got an ars technica model that is suitable for my use from circuit city (in greenville, nc) a couple of years ago. i've seen it since in other locations i believe. i've also seen a sony model that is identical to it (but more expensive) at best buy.
mine is preamped and has L/R phono outputs.
