Was that place any good? Maybe they could put something worthwhile in there.

thats weird. I havn't been in months, but it seemed like their business had actually improved since they revamped the menu a year or two ago. Its actually a chain though, I think there is another one in Garner somewhere.

I used to go to Rock-Ola in Greensboro all the time with the family when I was growing up, but that location (West Market & Muirs Chapel) is long gone, and I think the other Greensboro location on Battleground closed also. Kinda sad that this one is closing too--I watched the State-UNC basketball game there back in '98 when we won 86-72. I wasn't even a freshman, was here with the parents on a visit...

I've heard their best performing one around here is actually Asheboro's... but that was before they got a Chili's which I'm sure took away from their business significantly

I used to love the one in wilmington before they tried to make it an "upscale" restuarant. though I totally agree with the comment on the rolls and cinnamon butter

everytime I see Harry Brathwaite (creator of Goodberry's) I tell him he needs to open one up close to campus

I really think a Goodberry's at the old Rockola location would make a killing

I used to go to the one @ Celebration @ Six Forks. They closed that one a looooong time ago though. Food sucked, but nice to have around when you were in college.

One of my friends worked there closed Monday night and everything was normal. Went to work Tuesday morning and there was the signed that they closed on the door. He went in and they told him that if he wanted to make a little extra money he could stay and clean up....right when he found out he no longer had a job...he left.

^ Damn that sucks.

The loaded cheese fries were great, and the cheeseburgers were fantastic. Sad to see it go.

they charged like 2.25 for a soda and at a time years ago they didn't give refills

my friend would give me hell (when I was under 21 long ago) b/c it was cheaper to get a beer and get it refilled then it was to buy a diet coke

I got an undercooked burger there once.

Ate it anyway, I was hungry, and it took forever to come out.

Shit my brains out for two days.

Rockola at Celebration at Six Forks closed down 3 years ago because of sanitation problems.

a girl in the grade above me was a waitress there when they shut down.
