I just turned on my tv today (I've had it like 2 years its always worked fine) and now the picture is stretching over the top and bottom of the screen by a few centimeters. Its enough to make you miss some things (like the espn bottom line) and piss me off considerably. Its a norwood LCD tv, I checked the settings and I haven't seen anything for size or stretch or anything. Anyone know what could be the problem? 2/20/2008 4:52:56 PM |

my tv has a zoom feature that will stretch the image like that - double check for a setting 2/20/2008 4:58:31 PM |

it's trashed. the lcd fluid contacts aren't syncing with the backlight.
I'll buy it from you for $20 for parts. 2/20/2008 5:21:18 PM |

If your TV's settings aren't wrong and you have a digital cable box it could be that doing it was well. For TWC's crap, hit the # key on the remote. 2/20/2008 6:25:55 PM |

TV settings all appear to be the same as before. And I don't have TWC, I have charter - no seperate remote. 2/20/2008 6:27:42 PM |

just to be sure... you checked the aspect ratio on both the tv and the cable box? Perhaps stating the obvious: One will be in the tv menu/settings and the other will be in that of the cable box. 2/20/2008 7:06:23 PM |

Yeah there isn't an aspect ratio command on the tv or the remote. I've looked through the entire menu and tried every button. 2/20/2008 8:23:23 PM |
