If I have a small amount of gold/silver in the form of small jewelry (nothing larger than a bracelet), with mixed quantities of each metal (some only plated, with a steel base), where is the best place to liquidate that to cash?

A pawn shop? Is there anything better?

don't exchange your money in for fractional reserve notes. the gov't will simply steal the gold from you.
