I work for a civil engineering firm and we need to know what the business types are not the zoning for 1/2 mile from our site. Was hoping a Google earth or somethign similar would be able to tell me the business name or somethign similar. We could use the GIS system and then try and track down the phone number and call but that is going to be very time consuming. If anyone knows a way to locate a business name based on aerial photos that would be awesome. 3/5/2008 3:10:38 PM |

^are you serious?
It says we need to know the business type (school, church, laundry, etc.) not the zoning (B-2, r-9) for all the pieces of property in a 1/2 mile radius of our site.
Thought I was pretty clear the first time. 3/5/2008 3:14:11 PM |

Go to location.
Walk around.
I know there's sunlight out there, but I think you'll be ok. 3/5/2008 3:58:36 PM |

as you work for a civil engineering firm, surely you're run into this problem before and have solved it without Google Earth, no? 3/5/2008 4:16:42 PM |
