Bought this thing at an auction a few years ago and have been using it in my kitchen ever since. Novamatik commercial hand dryer, with the automatic electric eye. Plugs into a regular outlet. These sell for around $100 on ebay, I'd need $40 for it.

you can save both trees *and* electricity if you use hand towels.

In the interest of full disclosure, I feel compelled to mention that it might be possesed by a demon.

There's no reason to save trees.
All our paper comes from well managed pine plantations that are completely sustainable.

Hand towels that you have to wash (water + electricity) and dry. I think the dryer is probably the biggest electricity consumer in your house when it is running. Anything that takes 220v is going to draw a ton of current. Oh, and is anybody thinking of the cotton??? All that cotton ripped from it's stalks to make towels!!!.

All of this is just being the devil's advocate. I don't care what you do.

I think a handtowel beats this, "green wise". You're still running electricity everytime you use this thing.

AND handtowels airdry for the most part.

You mean this thing uses electricity? I thought it ran on the finely ground souls of murdered rainforest creatures.

*For novelty entertainment purposes only. Not guaranteed to save trees...or dry your hands completely.

If you don't wash your hands at all, you skip the complex philosophical grappling that's derailed this thread.
