During a 11 hour period yesterday, I saw 3 cars worth nearly $2.5 million.

Veyron (my 2nd sighting in the wild)

Mulsanne (1st)

The Veyron had a gorgeous combination of red and black, and even though it was driving at < 10 mph (parking lot), the spoiler was fully out, which gave a very visually arresting look.

Also saw in that period, and within 30 min of each other:

anyway, i just remembered that 2 hours before i saw the veyron, in the same parking lot i saw 2 other supercars within a minute of each other, but since i was so mesmerized by the veyron, i forgot to mention them! so, here i go again.

I believe that's the greatest concentration of supercars I have come across in the shortest period of time, number wise and cost wise (even rarity wise). (in the wild, not at shows/gatherings/etc)

Saw a few days ago:

a half dozen Bentley Continentals, one GT I believe
a rolls royce phantom
a Ferrari California
countless Maserati Quattroportes (they're like camrys in this town)

Naples, Fl. And every one of those was driven by someone 60+ with far too much plastic surgery. What a weird town.

Saw this beauty the other day.




My wife is pretty crazy about this car. I have to admit, I am too. I wasn't too keen on the design when I first saw the pictures online for some reason and I still layed partial to the 997.
After seeing the 991 in person, I must say it looks phenominal. I've always thought the 993 design to be one of the most beautiful out of the entire 911 line. Now I'm left debating between who takes 1st place, 991 or 993.

^^^I'm a bit surprised at the taste of new 991 owners. Everyone I've seen has excessive badging on the back. I feel like you should go for just "Porsche" or whatever model it is, but not both. Too many words.

^^agreed, 993TT >> all else. The 991 is a solid design but they're making it look too goofy with those big ass wheels.

On an unrelated note to the thread I saw a gorgeous Supra TT yesterday on Fayetteville street. The black paint job was flawless, aftermarket rims were tasteful and I was quite envious.

My favorite supra ever was one i saw before the fast and the furious

it was silve with green ghost flames (i mean like 3 drops of green in the silver they painted the rest of the car in you couldn't even see them until you were told they were there) , all stock body work, dropped 1.5" with beautiful forged bbs wheels and a t-72 turbo.

lol I was trying to explain that to my boss (we are a mobile company, so we saw this on the road). Her thought on the matter, which was the same when I told her about the equus, was "why don't you just pay more and get the mercedes or bmw name," to which I replied, "that's my whole point!"

I can't fault her too much though- she did buy a 135 with the m- package

The phaeton is hands down a better car then the comparable bimmer and merc imho.

It's pretty much the predecessor for the veyron... not that it's a performance car but in the fact that it was designed as a no-compromise ultimate luxury car.

I remember top gear mentioning the big engined phaeton having a crazy top speed.

Nah, I'd rather have the Benz. And that VW wasn't really the predecessor of the Veyron so much as the Bentley Continental sedan and coupe. The Phaeton has never had an engine more powerful than 444 hp so its top speed couldn't have been that crazy

^^ weight doesn't mean shit in top speed unless you're going up hill or down hill...

It's complete lack of attempting any downforce what-so ever makes it so the Cd is pretty damned low for a car with 444 hp.

I was at the SoWo car show in Helen, GA this last weekend and met the owner of a Rossion Q1. Very cool guy ended up coming and hanging out while we had a cookout. We ran out of beer, he gave me a ride to the store in his Q1 for a beer run. I will post pictures when I get them from my friends.
