Shenandoah is in Western Virginia! it even has a bridge over I-64. it's a nice easy drive from NC b/c it's interstates the whole way

SNP is the easiest part of the AT...and it was easy hiking, but towards the end my knees hurt pretty bad....might have to use some dorky ass hiking poles...god damnit

we tarped it up one night and spent 2 nights at the calf mountain shelter...i know...fuckin lame shelter name...

we seam sealed the tarp and it kept us dry

and for those of you (ahem adam8778 ahem) who think I was sacrificing comfort, how about this. My backpack has a little pocket on the outside for a sleeping pad. Well my sleeping pad was rolled up inside the pack, but I cut a small piece of Walmart blue foam and kept it in the outside pocket. It was great! I sat on it for breaks during the day, and around camp. TheBullDoza even tried to steal it a few times. So I'd say I was MORE comfortable than him
