Could be worse:

Quote :
"The only independently owned 7-Eleven stores are located in the Oklahoma City, Oklahoma metropolitan area. About 100 stores are owned by the family of Jim Brown (who formerly owned the U-Totem chain) under special arrangement with the company since 1953. These stores carry a slightly different product selection than other 7-Eleven stores in the US. They do not serve hotdogs or nachos but have their own bakery called Seventh Heaven.[14] Also, due to this agreement, they carry a non-7-Eleven branded product in lieu of the Slurpee, the Icy Drink, which is not to be confused with the ICEE.[15] The one side effect to this arrangement is that national advertising campaigns and promotions (e.g. movie marketing tie-ins) cannot be used."

Kangaroo's version of the Slurpee is just as good, if not better, than the real thing

sheetz is nice. I try to hit the one near the airport sometimes. A good stopping place after a long ride and such.

I have a 7-11 within walking distance and you've made me want a slurpee.

However, it's 2 AM and I'm lazy. Dilemmas.

People go crazy for their Wawa up here! It's like a yankee haven. A few weeks ago the one near my work was closed for renovations and people didn't know what to do with themselves. God forbid you might have to find another place for lunch and coffee.

Those hot turkey bowls in November were really good though

If you're counting that by car, I have 4 within 5 minutes of me.

That means I live in an awesome town, btw.

And while I did not live in Raleigh back in the day when they had 7-11, I remember having them in Greensboro in the 80's.
