Please, please if you have RECENTLY had a great experience with a tailor, from hemming pants properly to doing complicated and expensive dresses, please share your experience and the location, and if possible, who the person you worked with was.

I have searched for so long, but as soon as I find a good recommendation, someone else says they had a horrible experience, what gives!? And if you're recommending Lee's Tailor, (apperantly a popular choice) please specify WHICH one, as there are like 50 in the area, and I don't think they're associated with each other.

(If you're wondering, I have a really imprtant dress, that cannot be ruined, this is like more importanat than a wedding dress, and I just need it hemmed, but I just know where I can go! Also, I need work on the usual, hemming pants, altering sleeves, basic fixes.)

Thanks eveyone!

Why not just do it yourself?

I could do it actually, but the truth is I'm both too lazy and not as good as a good tailor would be. And I'm certainly not going to attempt an improtant garment.

I go to Lee's at Crabtree. I've never had a problem with them.

Wang's just did a fantastic job on a vintage beaded evening gown for me. I highly recommend them.

Lee's on Western Blvd., in the same shopping center as Harris Teeter and Planet Fitness.

I've had them do hems and alter two bridesmaid's dresses. Both dresses looked great.

I use Wang's for simple stuff like hemming pants, she does a good job and is damn cheap

J. Crew recommended Cameron Village Tailors to me, they did a very nice job hemming two jackets of mine
