Click on video for Kevin Reece's 11 News report HOUSTON -- A fetus was found aboard a Continental jet at Bush Intercontinental Airport Sunday afternoon. The lifeless fetus was discovered in one of the plane’s bathrooms by a cleaning crew, the Houston Police Department told 11 News.
Flight 433 from New York’s LaGuardia Airport arrived at Gate C-18 of Terminal C at Bush IAH about 4:45 p.m. Sunday. Officials said all of the passengers disembarked the plane and that the cleaning crew did not arrive until about two hours later.
A member of the cleaning crew found the fetus in one of the rear bathrooms of the plane.
The Houston Police Department and the FBI are investigating. " |

It is plausible that she could have miscarried on the plane and not recognized the tissue as anything more than heavy bleeding. I am not going to go into details and this large depends on how far along in the pregnancy. At 3 months, the baby is about 2.5 inches.
Miscarriages can occur over several days, with the body removing the tissue. Most likely, the mother will need a d&c to make sure all the tissue has been removed.
