Is run conditioning really that hard? I've heard some bad things about it like how you have run a 10k about everyday but I enjoy running and can run about 3 miles straight so I'm not in the best shape but decent. I'm taking it under Dang next semester, I'll drop it if it's actually too hard but I'm up for losing a bit more weight and a challenge but I just want to know if anyone here has taken it under Dang.

whoever told you that you had to run 10k everytime... was just fucking with you.

You might have to run a 10k at the end of the semester or a 5k, depending on the teacher. Its really not that hard. I got an A and i barely put any effort into it.

In it now, with Lewis the 5k is worth 25 points of your final grade, an 18:30 for all 25 if you're a male. There's another class(es) that have a 10k as the final test, I think it's some old white guy teaching. 10k everyday? Doubt it. Even though it's run conditioning you still do a lot of weight/circuit training and some lectures. Just a fitness class with an emphasis on running.

im in dewitts run conditioning class and I love it. havent always been a huge runner but im always trying to play a sport. its fun, we just got done running the cary roadrace 10k(6.2miles) on saturday. you have to finish in 55 minutes to pass it and its like 20% of your grade.

starting off we ran like 20-25 minutes in class and then he slowly bumps you up to 35-40 minutes. occasional weight room days--our weight exam was pull ups(from complete rest position (i.e. like all the way up then hang for a second then go again)) and 10 rep bench max.

im taking it again next semester because i have some free time. alot of people drop after first day

I love Run Conditioning, I've taken it 3 times.

I'm really slow too. My 10k time was about 1:12. I still passed the class every time (credit only) because the teachers can tell that I try hard and improve. Don't take it for a grade unless you're super duper fast.

I took lewis... long ago, she isn't a runner so her class is much more about all around fitness.

I took it for credit only b/c at the time I was running 20minute 5k's so I couldn't make the 18:30... now I run even slower... but I'm getting old and don't run everyday to spare my knees...
