well, it's coming again, and im gonna miss it again. just wondering what people are getting, as usual. if i had the money and i was actually going, i'd get some of my beloved leaftail geckos. perhaps bearded pigmy chameleons. but now i can only dream of such things.
but i wanna know what other people are getting, and hopefully someone will be willing to scout out the uroplatus for me.
May 3 & 4, btw. exposition building @ the fairgrounds. 4/22/2008 10:58:52 PM |

not going this time, again.
their tarantula selection (primarily the fact that 95% are WC) depresses me. and i'm holding off any reptile additions until we get a house.
so instead of buying critters, i'm saving up for a stove, fridge and dishwasher 4/22/2008 11:10:30 PM |

I think I'm going Sunday. I just purchased another chin this past weekend and it died in less than 2 days and I'm so upset The breeder told me she was in shock from the transition of moving from her partner, but then I found out that she had pneumonia and there was nothing I could do. The bitch who I bought it from won't refund my money either and I have to find another breeder to get a mosaic from, so I'll be looking around. 5/2/2008 12:49:54 PM |

If I go, I will end up coming home with something. Two cats is enough. I wouldn't mind having a snake again, though. Or a sugar glider. 5/2/2008 1:07:05 PM |

^^^^^ be cautious buying a chin at the show. The animals there are stressed out. I've had 2 friends buy young chins there and both died within days/weeks. My beige female is pregnant (bred to a black velvet). She's due sometime mid june. My pinkwhite and ebony have mated so I am expecting some kits from that pair as well.
I"m going tomorrow morning but really only for crickets. I forgot to order them this week and it's cheaper to buy a box there.
I have too many pets to list 5/2/2008 10:07:33 PM |

Do they sell lots of baby birds/stuff for birds? Or are they mostly reptiles? 5/3/2008 12:44:46 AM |

eh nothing impressive this year
I bought crickets and mealworms. Was tempted by an egyptian uro and a hairless guinea pig.
I was a little bothered by how many vendors were selling hatchling/juv iguanas. I hadn't seen that many iguanas in years. I saw one person buying 3 of them! one for each of their kids. I wish more vendors gave out care sheets or stressed that the buyer knows how to care for what they're buying. 5/3/2008 11:33:38 PM |
