Of course you can always live somewhere cheaper but the amount of the rent is not the only element to provide a true comparison. Most units at University Commons are painted entirely in dull monochromatic white flat paint. My landlord's unit is custom decorated, brightly painted in heavy duty commercial grade eggshell that is easily cleaned; the kitchen is painted Wolfpack Red, the laundry unit is Bonzai Green, the living room is Muffin Tan. Our unit is furnished by landlord with dining table and chairs, sofa, coffee table, end tables, lamps, X-Box TV, digital cablevision with DVR, beds, desks, bookshelves, cookware, dishes, cutlery, etc. My landlord changes the A/C filter monthly and keeps the entire unit well maintained. The landlord always responds to any maintenance call the same day, usually within one or two hours. My landlord provides 24 hour emergency services to all tenants for lockouts, jump starts, rides to the airport, etc.

Hey guys...i live in one of this guy's other units and the landlord really is a nice guy. Our AC broke and he got it fixed right away, and he'll bring over lamps, desks, dressers, whatever you might need. he'll help you move and put up shelves/hang heavy pictures/whatever. It's not that bad of a place to live either.

they didnt have an apartment open in the time we needed it...but at the time it was my first choice...now it would be like my 4 or 5th choice
