So the 4.5 liter V8 is out, new 5.0 v8 is in. And a new 7spd auto and 21" rims. Looks kinda funny to me, kinda like a catfish or whale shark, but damn IT IS FAST. 0-60 in 5 seconds flat!!!! Thats the fastest Nissan\Infiniti product ever released in the US. This SUV is faster than the Nismo 350z.

Wow 5 seconds flat is crazy.
Lookout for a 400+ hp G50 soon!
My post from 50 days ago in this thread:

Actually, that's just my prediction, and I am sure it will come true. It is based on these facts:
1) Lexus launching IS-F soon. 2) G35/37 is very popular, even more so than the Lexus IS, and so a hi-po version would only be proportionally more popular. 3) Infiniti FX50 just launched in Geneva with a 5 litre V8 and 390 hp. And oh, 21 inch tyres, a 180 mph speedo, and enough performance to kill any SUV save the Cayenne Turbo and the ML63 AMG.
The FX35 will probably updated to 'FX37' with about 300 hp.

why are all the automakers coming out with SUVs faster than their car offerings? WTF?!
Look at Toyota, their faster vehicle is the RAV4 V6. 4/29/2008 10:18:56 PM |

with gas price going toward $5/gal, I don't know if a 5.0 V8 is a good idea. 4/29/2008 10:19:05 PM |

That's my EXACT point! Why the fuck do you need that big of an engine, which prob gets 20mpg maybe 24-25 TOPS, babying it, when the gas is high as the sky and will continue to rise! 4/30/2008 5:31:57 AM |

The FX50 with 390hp is better on gas than the FX45 with 315hp, due to valve train and 7spd auto 4/30/2008 7:14:00 AM |

BTW, in Europe, they will sell the FX37, but in the US, it will still be the FX35. Same thing with the smaller SUV: EX37 in Europe, EX35 in the US.
The new FX35 comes in at 303 hp.
