anyone been on one? i know theres a place in raleigh that does it. how much do they cost? describe your experience, too if you don't mind. thanks!

this is so on my list of things to do

they typically run $250-300 from the research i've done

santa fe has a huge hot air balloon festival every year-- i wanna go!

We went on a hot air balloon ride over Steamboat Springs last year. It was awesome, but it cost about $275 per person. They did include the champagne though

I don't know where they do it in Raleigh, but I remember once when I was little we went to a balloon festival in Statesville. I don't know if they do it still, but I'm sure you could go up with someone there for next to nothing.

yep, they'll run you a good bit there. I have a friend who proposed doing this.

i went on one when i was 12.... actually got to ride in the USA-1 monster truck that same year.... i'm lucky at winning raffles that don't get you money...

my girlfriend was terrified that the canvas was going to catch on fire. that typically doesn't happen unless something really goes wrong. the mouth of the balloon is typically made of nomex or some other flame resistant material

they have these in charlottesville very often

not sure on the price, but i was at the driving range hittin golf balls and saw one really close takeoff, so i think its somewhere in pen park

my brother got to fly in the balolon that the webcast was shot from at the balloon fest last year.

so cool but crazy as hell.

yes they still do this in statesville, my dad went earlier this year and took tons of cool pics.

they offer them in Asheville i know. i REALLY want to go on one. and apparently they offer a romantic version with champagne and all that jazz...that would be the coolest way to propose to a lady IMHO.

not that i'm hinting in any way to someone in particular
