i'm using http://www.speakeasy.net/speedtest/

it shows my dowload speed @ 6269 kbps and upload speed at 357kbps. however, my computer is running beyond slow. what gives?

something weird is going on. my laptop won't even get an ip address. my imac works fine. my laptop is set to receive DHCP and everything. even did a ipconfig /release and renew on it.

Speaking of internet connection...

Has anyone here used RoadRunner Lite before? Would I notice the difference between the regular RoarRunner and RoadRunner Lite if I don't stream much or download big files? I mainly do regular surfing of the internet.

My trial offer of $29.99/month is about to expire with TWC and I don't feel like paying 45/mo for the regular roadrunner....I think 1.5M service is 29.99/mo regularly and 768k service is 24.99/mo.

Any thoughts?

oh, i know...i have 3 sn's of my own, though the other two don't get posted on nearly as much...this one is at least (fairly) consistently creative, though at times (like this), it's just stupid

I tried RR Lite for 2 months, and it is TERRIBLE! I don't stream or download big files either, but most web sites have content that is large and takes a long time to download. Just call RR and tell them you will cancel if they don't give you Standard RR for $34.99/month. Standard is 7mb downlink now btw.
