Well, I don't know what you'd expect to find here that you couldn't find in one of the 457,000 hits for "ps2 laser."
There are a half dozen or so tutorials for cleaning/adjusting the laser that have been plastered all over the Internet. Use them. 5/14/2008 11:44:51 PM |

well, I'm not sure what your hoping to find here then, you need to get a new laser or a new ps2 to fix it. if you want to know how to install a new lens heres a video

and to buy the new, just search and you'll get a list something like this, and make sure it works with your model of ps2, most of them list their compatible models in the description

You don't necessarily need a new laser. It can be cleaned/adjusted, I've been adjusting mine periodically for years now. 5/14/2008 11:48:16 PM |

he said it was burned out, but if he hasn't actually verified that you have a good point. Theres youtube videos on how to clean and adjust them too. 5/15/2008 12:14:56 AM |

You adjust the gears exactly as you would if there were only one.

i've adjusted mine, its not too tough with the right equipment.
just be careful to not seperate the ribbon connecting the power button on the cover from the circuit board. I was so careful during everything and was putting it all back together when it slipped and seperated. That was a bitch to reinsert. 5/15/2008 11:22:48 AM |
