i've got one of the big jugs of gojo i take in there with me. scrub all over, then cut the water on.
the gray bars of pumice (can't remember the brand, lava maybe) are good to keep in the shower too. unlike liquid gojo/lava, they work just as well with the water on/wet skin. it is a little like scrubbing with sandpaper though.
i keep a cannister of those towelette things on my work truck. they work well enough until you get home. they're great for cleaning tough stains or grease off of other slick surfaces too. 5/18/2008 9:48:28 PM |

i would imagine anywhere that sells the liquid stuff probably has them. i think the last time i bought some was at carquest. walmart or the like might even have it.
are you using the gojo on dry skin? it works 10 times better that way, you can't use it like normal soap. if you've got a lot to clean off and need a second application, use an old towel, paper towels, or something to wipe off with. don't rinse with water until you're done scrubbing.
if you have sensitive skin or for areas like your forearms or face that can be tender, try normal dishwashing soap like dawn. doesn't work nearly as well as the pumice based stuff or other chemicals of course, but it's designed to cut grease and is better than regular soap.

Same here. I've got the Sam's Club sized GoJo that I just leave in the shower. I just turn the shower on, sit down, and start scrubbing.5/19/2008 12:35:17 AM |

Gojo sucks. Napa hand cleaner part #5105 FTW. 5/19/2008 3:32:59 AM |

I've got a thing of Fast Orange in my shower right now. 5/19/2008 8:34:09 AM |

dishwashing detergent does better than Fast Orange IMO
They have this powdery stuff at Pull-a-part that's the best thing I've ever used in my limited experience. A random guy at the yard told me it was Ajax laundry detergent but that might be his wild guess 5/19/2008 9:44:18 AM |

we have this stuff at the shop that works pretty well... not sure what it is, it is beige and gritty and we get it from Cintas...

Lava is the pumice soap, I think I have seen it at walmart, the gojo soap is gritty as hell. 5/19/2008 11:20:02 AM |

^^You talkin about "Zep" or something like that? I used to use that back in the day at my dad's shop. Smelled like cologne from what I remember.
