I have this recurring dream that it's exam time and I'm about to graduate. I look at my schedule for when the exams are and see a class that I went to a couple of times, and then stopped going and completely forgot about. I had pretty much skipped the entire class and my exam is in an hour. Then I wake up and it usually takes me a good 30 seconds to a minute to convince myself that I have already graduated.

It's been a while since I've had this dream, but I would estimate that I've had it close to 10 times. It's almost a nightmare

^^I believe that is a very common nightmare amongst college graduates. I have heard of many people having nearly the same dream with some factual variation.

Yep I've had a variation of this nightmare, I'm trying to calculate what I need to make on a test for a class I've never been to and how in the hell am I going to get the financial aid if I have to take another semester.

I have had this recurring dream many times. It typically hits in late nov/early dec and then again in late april/early may. i have actually woken up in a cold sweat a couple of times and ran into my office to see if my diploma is still on the wall.

I dream about high school far more often than I dream about college. In either case, I'm usually screwing up somehow. Doesn't make sense, I did well in both.

I have had the exact same dream several times also. After I wake up I have to think about it for a few minutes before figuring out its just a nightmare. Didn't know it was this common among college students.

- i got caught cheating on an exam
- i overslept
- all i have is Hubisz class notes
- my request to change majors is denied
- the room for my exam does not exist, and no one knows anything about it

we could start a whole new topic on just weird dreams, like last night or so, i was a commando who showed up to combat with a water gun

I, too, have had this dream. Didn't know it was so common either. Haven't had it in a while (I graduated six years ago) but definitely several times in the years after graduation.

I've also had the variation where it was a class that I intended to drop, then forgot about, and it occurs to me during exams that I'm still registered and about to fail it.

Scary as hell either way...

yeah...but usually only when I am discussing college days at work or someone says I should go to graduate school someday.....usually it is in regards to missing a test, flunking something, forgetting a report was due, stuff like that...never good.

I've never really had nightmares about school since I came to college. I thought it was easier than a lot of the stuff I did before, and I had nightmares about school before that.

Most of my dreams make no sense now, or involve me shooting intruders or killing them with a bat or a knife or something. That's probably bad, too, lol.

Yeah, I used to have this dream a lot. except that I would remember the class I forgot to go to after exam week. Then I would wake up and have to convince myself that it was just a dream. I've had it around 10 times too and It would really freak me out each time.

I was literally tortured by this very dream last night. I even woke up multiple times and came to my senses, only to fall back asleep and have it again. It was an exam or a big test for some class I had stopped going to for some reason. It's weird because I never skipped classes in college. It's like in the dream, I forget about the class entirely. Of course, this mysterious class was also a requirement standing between me and graduation. I've been out of school for two years. This is teh suck!

Recently the dream has been about collegiate-level classes, but the setting seams like my old high school. It doesn't have to make sense to be terrifying.
