Laboratory Animal Resources at the Vet School has 9 dogs available to be
adopted out immediately.

These dogs will go to a terminal study, if there are no takers for adoption
before May 30th. We would much rather see these dogs, who have given so
much to research, go to a good home to live out the rest of their lives,
but we cannot keep them here any longer.

The College of Veterinary Medicine (CVM) at North Carolina State University is dedicated to the care and well being of all species of animals. An internal memo concerning the opportunity for CVM faculty, staff and students to adopt nine dogs was recently posted on external websites. We are gratified by the response to this inadvertent posting.

Rest assured,the dogs are well cared for, there is no deadline for adoptions, and that standing procedures for successful adoptions are being followed. In fact, several of the dogs have already been adopted by CVM staff and faculty members and we do not anticipate any problems in ensuring all nine dogs find loving homes.
