I didnt know who he was, but, he is a badass now in my books.
Quote : | "Two men who attempted a burglary at the home of Packers running back Noah Herron were arrested, thanks to Herron. Herron was in his home when the break-in occurred just after 11 p.m. on Friday night in the village of Howard, a suburb of Green Bay. The sheriff's department said Herron, 26, appropriately defended himself by unscrewing a post from his bed, and shortly thereafter, hitting one of the intruders when he entered Herron's bedroom.
Chief Deputy John Gossage said Herron called police at 11:19 p.m. when he heard glass breaking in the lower level of his house. He said an unknown number of people had entered the house.
"Noah Herron used necessary, reasonable and justifiable force in protecting his life and property," Brown County Sheriff Dennis Kocken said in a statement. "Herron, the victim in this random home invasion, is cooperating with law enforcement."
The injured intruder remained hospitalized but is expected to recover.
Another man, waiting outside of the house, was arrested in the burglary attempt and taken into custody. Herron was not hurt.
The sheriff's department says the two suspects may have been involved in up to 20 burglaries in De Pere, Howard, and Bellevue. Stolen property and a vehicle believed taken earlier Friday from another home were found near Herron's home, Gossage said.
Packers General Manager Ted Thompson said he spoke to Herron about the incident. In a statement released Tuesday afternoon, Thompson said, "We support Noah and ask that his privacy be respected."
The Pittsburgh Steelers took Herron in the seventh round of the 2005 draft out of Northwestern. The Packers signed him off the Steelers' practice squad in 2005. Herron spent the 2007 season on injured reserve with a knee injury, but will compete for a backup spot this season.

See, this is why I only rob NBA players. I'll never accidentally run into Mario Williams if I stick to the Rockets. 6/4/2008 6:54:47 PM |
