We were discussing this lastnight, most men (>75%) rather have a useless girl that wants them for their money than a woman that has things going for themselvrd so that they can get away with pretty much whatever they want and that woman will still be there because of their need for them, wheras the established woman will expect companionship and respect and will put much more pressure on the man to be decent and won't put up with shit the same way. not really, because their is no security in the type of woman who doesn't have any of much going for her and rather just be with you because of your money. here is the reason: there is always someone out there with more money, and if thats what she is interested in then she will make sure she finds it, all on your dime.

a woman who has a job and is established is with you because she wants to be and not because she needs someone to take care of her, which makes her what guys tend to seek out more, realistically.

i have my own stuff....I have assets...i have property, houses, investments, savings, IRAs, retirement accounts through work, etc....i don't have access to a lot of this now but unless something really unforeseen comes along i'm going to be retiring pretty comfortably from a job i love that's probably 3 times more valuable, given insurance and retirement that are completely paid for by the company, than my actual take home pay....

i don't need a man to provide these things for me...and i'm certainly not going to support someone with no ambition in his life...but i'm not going to reject somebody simply because they don't live up to some ideal i have in my mind of what he should do or what he should make...

what happened to finding somebody you like spending time with and just going with it...come what may....why is there such a premium put on whether somebody looks good on paper...

that laundry list of things you seek in a partner at one point in your life will become a lot less important once you figure out what is truly important to you in life...you can be single and miserable while searching for this unattainable goal that you think you deserve....or you can be happy with somebody that you're meant to be with and have a good relationship, friendship, companionship, family life with...



i don't know why i just typed that out anyway....marry whatever girls you fellas want...in the end they're going to get half your shit anyway because you'll have a loveless marriage when you become an alcoholic that's doing your secretary while she's a closet wino that loves her job more than you or the kids....and you'll be worse off than you were initially...

Chicks with their own money and career can rollup and be out whenever. A younger chick is going to put up with more crap just to hang in. While that might be appealing, especially to a dude trying to maintain an upper hand, it really doesn't seem worth it. That's the problem: the battle of the sexes makes the lesser benefit solution look better. Men just can't win, unless they get one of those girls that does everything to take care of her man. But even then, you lose your friends. Who wants to hang out with a guy that gets everything he wants? It makes their own situation look twice as worse.

If women (stereotypically) would just listen to what a man had to say every once in awhile, and occasionally let him win an argument, they wouldn't have all these younger women stealing all their guys.

That doesn't mean the guys are completely inncoent, though. They should have to return the favor and maybe pay attention every once in awhile, or even try to drum up some hokey romance on occasion to make their women still feel cared for on more than a physical level.
