So I was having this problem a few weeks ago, and I reinstalled windows and it had been fixed until last night and today. Specs: Specs: Windows XP SP2, 8500GT video card, AMD X2 4600+, 4gigs of ram (though it only recognizes 3gigs cause it's XP), I can go into further detail if necessary.

Basically, this problem arises in WoW or Age of Conan. The game will freeze up, and unfreeze a few seconds later, but when it does unfreeze, the image is messed up. It tends to swap in game models with other, random models. It does this in both WoW and AoC. Sometimes, the image will just be ridiculously distorted with weird colors. I managed to get a screenshot which shows what exactly is happening: http://img263.imageshack.us/my.php?image=wowscrnshot061508225237jz7.jpg

Outside of games, my computer runs fine. In fact, I can usually run games fine for a few minutes, until it glitches. Hopefully TWW will come to my rescue, thanks in advance for any help you can provide.

Nothing to do with xp. It's because it's 32 bit and not 64 bit. But yeah that sounds like a video driver issue. Roll back to a previous driver and see if anything changes. Reinstall the game or see how hot your 8500 is. I doubt that's the problem but i've seen video cards do that if they overheat.

^That's what I'm thinking as well. I can't work on the computer right now because I'm not at home, but initially thought it was a RAM problem. Of course, games mostly use the video RAM, so it would make a lot more sense that it was a video card problem. I'm going to pull it out when I get home and dust it off a bit, and go from there.

If the problem was your video ram you would see display issues outside of games.

^but doesn't it only use all the video ram during a game or graphically intense program?
