Friends are taking bets on whether it's a suicide or homicide.

They were probably up late doing blow or something and the friend was worried about getting busted.

Sounds like a drunk dude took one too many steps. No homicide.

Guy was probably real drunk and/or doing other things, they haven't released more because there going to wait for the results to come back.

Strange that the local stations are staying so quiet on this one. Wonder if there's a news "blackout" over an event very uncommon for Raleigh, such as a high profile drug case, etc.

I also think the news channels are trying to protect the businesses on Glennwood. I've heard about 4 different stories about what happened. I'll let the rumor mill go of a while and then ask some of the bartenders I know. The guy worked for a local software company and had just graduated.

I'm often surprised at how little reporting is done regarding crimes in gentrified areas of downtown like Glenwood.

My fiancee's sister was in Myrtle Beach for senior week last week and a guy fell out a window from 6 stories up and his leg got cut off and he bled to death. The week before, at the same hotel a girl fell off the balcony and landed beside the lazy river.

It's called adrenaline, many people severely injured do this.

There's a website someplace saying it was a gay teenager who killed himself after his father kicked him out of the house....

that's what i think is going on. one of my friends told me the story today about the guy falling off the deck onto the car and all i could think was, "why didn't anyone call 911 if there were people there to witness the event?"

Well, assuming that there is only one hotel with a lazy river, my wife and i stayed in that hotel. I SWEAR TO GOD i awoke at 3 am to see a ghost stand over me and stare at me. That is creepy as shit now. I think that hotel should be avoided

^i think just about every resort style hotel in Myrtle Beach has some type of lazy river

now my question is this, did you tell your wife you saw that? Most girls i know would have made me switch the hotel room if i told them i thought i saw a ghost....

exactly how does keeping this story out of the spotlight help business around that area of town. What difference does it make to the restaurants and bars there

When I was in PCB one year for spring break someone fell off their 5th floor balcony and died. And another night someone fell off their 2nd floor balcony and severely hurt themselves. BFD, happens all the time.
