SOB, you'd think i'd figure it out after a while.

00' Acura TL. Electric I suppose.

At first I thought some bastard broke it out, but I was wrong.

It makes a sound like it's bound or caught on something. Weird.

rip the door panel off and check the regulator. i think its the cable type so it may be off track on one of the "pulleys".. you best not mess with it anymore incase you get it down, but not back up.

unbolt the motor and see if you can manually crank up the regulator

I'm guessing whoever you take it to will have to order a replacement regulator for your specific model. Unfortunately the dealer will probably be one of the only places who is going to have it in stock.

I had the regulator pop in my 99 Grand Cherokee the other week. The labor at the dealership was twice the cost of the part, so I just purchased the part and put it in myself. The only bad part about fixing it was making sure I took the door apart correctly (I don't usually do my own car work). It took me a few hours, but it was still pretty simple and saved me over $200 in labor.

It's always the little cheap piece of thin plastic that's supposed to support the whole weight of the window that breaks. I wish they would make it out of something stronger

Had to fix the lady's right rear window...some plastic piece broke off, cable came off the track, etc. Took off the door panel, rigged a little something up, now the window stays up. Won't roll down (didn't hook the motor back up because I was afraid that my little improvisation might come off track), but it stays up. And who really cares if that window rolls down anyway. Saved about $200.

you can buy regulators all day from vendors on the net. just search for that regulator on google, or even ebay.

its an easy fix. may just be time consuming for ya

parts quality BLOWS. wtf is wrong with them.

the cable came apart and jammed up everything.

FUCKKKKK.

stupid shit.

who can get me part 72750-S0K-A03 for cheaper than the dealer today? i need the entire assembly. track, motor, regulator, etc...

http://www.trademotion.com/partlocator/index.cfm?action=searchCatalogOEM&siteid=215014

$122

they are an Acura dealer in GA. i get a lot of my parts from them, they like to promote online sales so they are much cheaper.

you can probably find OEM replacement parts for a little cheaper. but if you want OEM go with them.

and shipping is quick if they have the part in

[Edited on June 17, 2008 at 12:17 PM. Reason : ok, link doesnt work. just enter the part number and the make. ]

Well I got the dealer to give me a discount, so they quoted me $142.31 with tax.

I'll get it tomorrow morning, but I'd rather have it today.

ARGH.

[Edited on June 17, 2008 at 12:52 PM. Reason : I have to have it either today or tomorrow, b/c I don't have time otherwise.]
