^^ I want to say you can get this for 1.25 per issue. I had a years subscription like that. The only down side is the magazine is weekly. I'd barely finish a few articles before I had a new one...and then they just started building. After that, I haven't really read it in about a year.

That's what she said

I read it when I'm at B&N for coffee, which tends to be a couple of times a month. Downside is that I don't even finish one issue.

SIR-

The academic subscription is like $77 per year. Also, you can get a subscription by spending some airline miles. A friend of mine just got a subscription for like 3500 Delta Skymiles.

The more you know.

i get the kindle version for $10.99/mo. better for me than a hulu or netflix subscription. it is surprisingly navigable on the kindle vice a lot of other publications. i can read it in full color on iphone/ipad or just read on the kindle "for the articles"

and they dont pile up in my house. kindle keeps the last 5 issues and the rest are archived for access later if you really want them

delta frequent flyer miles

basically if you have one flight per year on delta, you can get the economist with that mileage.

This also happens to me with my Journal of Foreign Affairs subscription, which is why I canceled it. It only comes out every other month but the thing might as well be a textbook.

Ha, don't be the loser who checks out magazines at the library. Thats almost as bad as the people who rent movies from the adult video store.

for the first time in five years, i dont think i'll be resubscribing this year

but i've never paid a cent for it

IM GOING TO HAVE LIKE THREE WEEKS WITH NO ISSUES, DUE TO NOT HAVING ENOUGH FREQUENT FLYER MILES UNTIL I GET HOME FROM CHRISTMAS TO RE-UP MY SUBSCRIPTION

THE HUMANITY

but it is a rare week i actually finish the issue before i get the next one

i love the economist audio edition (and just realized a few days ago that i have access to it even though my print subscription ran out before i moved)

still plan on renewing my subscription when i get back from christmas, i like to read about half and listen to half during my walking commute -- only way i can get through the issues each week

honestly, if you just go on itunes and download the editors highlights podcast and then follow them on twitter, you get access to pretty much everything they publish.

i still pay for the digital subscription because its convenient and doesn't overtake my house with back issues, but if i didnt want to pay, the podcast/twitter feed would be the way to go.
