So I am living in Seattle, and have a truck I am wanting to sell prior to moving back east (I am going to New York). It gets really crappy gas mileage and my plan is to just ride back in our Rav 4 together. What I was thinking... is it possible to "trade in" the truck in Washington and then get the trade in value in New York? That would save me probably $1000 in gas, plus the distinct possibility the truck might break down along the way 9I have had horrible luck with it).
Has anyone been in auto sales or done anything similar to this? 6/18/2008 12:15:06 AM |

im thinking your talking about getting "trade in value" for your truck like from kbb or something? that means your gonna buy something when you trade your car in. I'm sure the value is better up there anyway. but from what i understand you have a rav4 you want to drive home, and you want to just sell your current truck so you don't have to drive two cars back home? just put an ad on Craigslist.com or sell it via carmax or auto trader. if I'm way off on this topic just ignore me good luck either way 6/18/2008 11:55:50 AM |

could go to carmax. they buy your car for trade-in value whether or not you actually buy something from them. 6/18/2008 6:30:52 PM |

Just sell it on your own. I actually understand the question, but no dealership is going to do that. They are independent of one another in most cases. 6/18/2008 6:39:35 PM |
