Looking for a house in the Wilmington area.

Major concerns,
Location good for a young couple with good jobs.

How much are the taxes in Wilmington and New Hanover county vs surrounding BFE counties. Also got to take into account gas now with commuting from outside New Hanover county.

Anyone specifically know good places in Wilmington to begin search?

The monkey junction area (and south) is really growing very rapidly.

<3 my old neighborhood

It's in the middle of alderman elementary, the mall, and flaming amy's

Lots of houses there with 2-3 bedrooms that would be good for a young couple

Wrightsville Carolina or Kure beach. Hazard insurance will be F$orida though.

For what it's worth, when I move back to Wilmington I plan to look in the area bound by Eastwood, College, Oleander, and the beach. This is based on my growing up in that area, and my husband living in various parts of Wilmington and Hampstead. The area near UNCW puts you central to everything. Depending on how good your jobs are, there are a lot of nice "family" houses for sale in Eastwinds right now, or if you're looking for more of a couple's starter home look between Wrightsville Ave. and the campus. Wilmington isn't like Raleigh, and even areas just off campus are pretty mixed and not all student rentals.

Going to get some information from realitors through the company. They should be able to point me in the right direction. Thanks for the info.
