Right now me and my roommate are in an apt but would like to rent a house. I know it would not be economical for us to rent a house by ourselves so if you have a house with 2 spots open or are a person and have found a house near campus and need two other people to room with, contact me.

Willing to pay 350-400 a room...apart from utilities, depending on size and number of bathrooms.

we have our own furniture.

How big are the rooms ? Own bathroom for each room ? What kind of cable/direct tv package do you have ?

Also, I dont think my roommate would be too keen on helping you mow the lawn or help you fix your house up while he's paying to live there also.

^wow what is he gonna do once he buys his own house and has to make payments on that? Expect the bank to mow his lawn and fix everything?

that is completely different. If my roommate owned his own house it would benefit him to take care of his lawn. As a renter, there is no incentive to help out with cutting the lawn while paying to live there and not paying to own. Since the purchase of a house is an investment and renting a room is something totally different.

Not to say that we wont help with cleaning up after ourselves, but mowing the lawn or painting a room or helping him build something that would add to the value of his house just doesnt seem logical when we're paying to rent a room.

^ being a dick ?. I said we would clean up after ourselves and anything guests that come over cause.

i dont think it is being a dick for not wanting to help paint a room or build somethiing or mow the lawn when we are renting and not paying to own.
