didn't see it anywhere.

http://www.slashfilm.com/2008/02/27/step-brothers-movie-trailer/

i'm sure this will get bashed as it's running over familiar territory for the two...but i will still likely enjoy it.

its what you'd expect, its a will ferrell comedy for crying out loud.

You go in expecting a dumb comedy that you'll laugh at, and thats what you get.

trailer is funny, I love the bunk bed scene...you know its coming, but its still so hilarious.

^^^^Yeah, i saw that trailer too, good stuff.

"What are you doing"
"I'm burying you!"
"But I'm still alive!"
"Shut up, you're waking the neighbors."
*soft crying*

I'm very excited about this one, I thought the way these guys worked together in Talladega Nights was great.

^^ John C. Reilly is a good actor, unlike Will Ferrel. I don't think he's been all that funny in the comedy movies he has been in recently, but he always cracks me up as Dr. Steve Brule.

John C. Reilly is an amazing actor, and until a few years ago was extremely under appreciated. of course now that he's widely known, his parts now aren't really living up to his earlier parts like in Boogie Nights or Chicago

I traveled 500 miles to give you my seed.

the small chuckles were pretty consistant, with a few huge laughs.

I enjoyed it.

my buddy that works at a theatre said not to bother, that all the funny stuff was in the commercials.

I like Will Ferrell, but he needs to stop overexposing himself. Getting tired of this stuff...

I was pissed this was a "Judd Apatow" production; I did not, however, let that get in the way of possibly thinking anything in this movie was funny...but it just wasn't. I saw it out of boredom, had no real expectations about it other than I liked Talladega Nights, and it just didn't come through.

Actually, he should milk his current earning power until it's gone. He is a 1 trick pony and he knows it. Cash in now and retire early

Saw it today and loved it. I haven't loved a Will Ferrell movie since Anchorman, but this one was great. I'll admit the humor is a very narrow spectrum - you have to really appreciate the subtle details beneath the obvious joke in each scene.

^^^^Most of the jokes in the commercials were altered for the actual film.

^ yep, I saw it last night and thought it was fucking hilarious.

Just a mindless plot, sometimes with sophmoric humor, but I was bursted out laughing quite a few times. Well worth seeing.

I thought this movie was worth a rental, or matinee ticket for the hardcore fans.

I thought when it was funny, it was hilarious. But that was only half the movie.

Worth my time though.

I actually enjoyed it. Depends upon the person I guess...I didn't really like Anchorman but I enjoyed this one, so to each their own.

The basketball movie he did last has to have been my least favorite will ferrel movie though.

I went with about 5 others. all but one of us enjoyed it, and the one that didn't said he was pissed b/c of the lack of plot.

The rest of us simply expected a Will Ferrell movie, and enjoyed it as just that.

okay, well i guess i'll be kind of the odd one out here.

this is quite possibly the greatest comedy i've ever seen, and maybe one of the best movies in general. absolutely brilliant. going in, i expected it to be better than average but figured most of the funny parts were used up in the previews and there would be huge gaps of boring filler. i also assumed there was no way will ferrel could possibly top all the stuff he's already done. i thought at best i'd be watching another old school, ricky bobby, wedding crashers, or whatever. dead wrong. in addition to all the hilariousness, the underlying plot wasn't the super cheezy crap you find in most comedies. there was also a definite "deeper meaning" to be taken away from it if you were paying attention which really caught me off guard. whether it was intended or not i don't know, but it's there.

if you really don't like will ferrel or john riley i guess it's probably pointless for you to see it. you won't like it or their interaction will just annoy you. i'm not a huge fan of either guy, but i do like a good portion of their past stuff. there is also plenty of comedy that your average mindless movie goer won't pick up on. like some of the more obscure one liners, the shirts they wear, etc. some things are definitely going to be more funny to guys as you remember some of the things you did with friends as a kid. pretty sure most girls won't get some of it, unless you were close with a brother or have a son.

i watch a ton of movies, but rarely do i see one that i really rave about even if i like it. i definitely give this one a 10/10, gg.

WOULD

WATCH

AGAIN

I really enjoyed it too. If you don't take yourself or life too seriously, then you can end up laughing the entire time. A couple of my favorites:

"What are doing?"... "I'm going to go teabag your drumset." (of course what followed was not one of my favorite parts0

"Your voice is like a combination of Fergie and Jesus."

"I feel like a bolt of lightning just struck the tip of my penis."

Every time "Boats 'n Hoes" was said during the opera performance

anyway, saying the only or most of the funny parts are in the trailer is just fucking retarded, it's R-rated.

I thought it was hilarious. If you go in expecting a serious movie you'll be disappointed. It's great Will Ferrell and John C. Reilly can be idiots for an entire movie and it be funny.
